Disclosure: Busch Gardens invited The Mommy Spot out to check out Christmas Town at Busch Gardens! We only work with companies we love so all opinions are our own.
‘Tis the season for experiencing the magic with the kiddos and you can’t beat the Winter Wonderland called Christmas Town that Busch Gardens, puts on in our back yard here in Tampa! We took the kiddos this weekend and we wanted to share all of the fun!!
Mom’s Know Before You Guide:
LIGHTS, LIGHTS & more LIGHTS- Busch Gardens Christmas Town is open during the day, but if you attend at night you are in for a real treat! The Christmas lights are decked all over the gardens and strolling through the park is magical. I dare you to find a tree that isn’t wrapped with twinkling lights! And the Christmas music playing all around is an added bonus!
Shows– All of Busch Gardens’ shows have been revamped to fit the Christmas Theme so stop in and catch a few. Some of our favorites include: Elmo’s Christmas Wish, Christmas Time Tree Show, Christmas on Ice and the Christmas Celebration show (which is conveniently located in the Dragon Fire Grill so you can eat while you watch the show)!
Christmas Town Village: Looking for some hot cocoa? Or maybe mini donuts? Or a last minute Christmas gift? Christmas Town Village is full of culinary samplers! You can stroll through this beautifully decorated village you can shop, eat delicious treats, meet a few characters and even ride on their train!
Rudolph Fun- If you have a little Rudolph fan there are multiple experiences where you can catch a sighting! New this year they have Storytime Breakfast with Rudolph in Dragon Fire Grill. You can eat a yummy breakfast to start your day while watching the fun storytime with Rudolph and his friends! You can also meet Rudolph in Celestial Crossings to snap a photo with him and play some reindeer games!
Santa’s House: If you haven’t met Santa yet, Santa’s House is a must! Stop and grab a pager to secure your place in line, then enter into Santa’s House to meet Mrs.Claus and the big man in red! While the elves are busy preparing for Christmas, Santa is taking a break from his busy holiday schedule to meet and take photos with families in his private study.
Upgrades & Reserve Your Spot: Looking to make the trip a little quicker and smoother? Busch Gardens offers many upgrades where you can have front-of-the line access for meet & greets, Breakfast with Rudolph or even purchase advanced culinary treats for Christmas Village!
Rides are open! My kids love rides and were able to ride their first coaster that went upside down, The Scorpion! You will find all other rides open during the event, even in the kid-friendly Sesame Street Safari of Fun!
These are some of the main features of the event, but you can click here to learn more.
If you are planning on purchasing a pass to have all year we always recommend someone in the family having an Annual Pass at the least. This way you receive complimentary parking (free stroller parking too!) and discounts on merchandise and food while in the park. You can also pay for a day and go back all year with the Fun Card!
Happy Holidays! We hope your family has a blast at Christmas Town!
