Countdown to Summer is on!! Moms everywhere, are frantically making plans to keep the kiddos busy and happy during the coming months! Do you have your Summer plans in order?

I’ve put something together that’s super easy and will help keep your house filled with ideas and activities to enjoy all Summer!

The Summer Jar!

Using a jar you have at home, cut strips of paper, and write down fun activities that your family enjoy! Get the little ones involved to write ideas of their own, this will keep their excitement as they check the jar for some of their own suggestions all Summer long! We included things like:
Plan a picnic lunch
Splash Pad Day (here’s a list of local splash pads in Tampa)
Visit the Library (check here for the events calendar at our local libraries)
Have a beach day (recruit another mom friend to join you! Team work, makes the dream work!)

This also encourages creativity, so get those little ones to think outside the box! I’m throwing a few special surprise days in our jar, like a Disney day or a special fishing trip! (I’ll be going outside my comfort zone for that one, but I want my boys to know, this Mom will try anything for them!)

Once you’ve chosen your activity, remember to take a picture and later attach it to the idea. You could display the fun you’re having all Summer on a bulletin board, or throw the idea back in the jar for a repeat on another day!

Hope you have a great time choosing something fun from your own jar! Have a fabulous Summer!

Share your summer fun with us on social media too! #Mommyspotsummer

We’d love to see all the fun happening around Tampa Bay!
