The month of September is Baby Safety Awareness Month and this week (September 18th through 24th) we are focusing in on Child Passenger Safety Week. According to Safe Kids Worldwide, of those children ages 8 and under who died in vehicle crashes in 2014, 26 percent were not restrained by an age-appropriate device such as an infant seat, booster seat or seat belt.
So this month we have partnered with Safety 1st to provide you with an informative review on their UltraMax™ Air 360 4-in-1 convertible car seat. We are also giving away a car seat to one lucky reader so you can find out how to win after the post!
As a mom of two kids and with one on the way, car seat safety has always been important to me. My children are on the small side, so due to weight and height requirements it has always taken them longer to convert to the next car seat or booster. In the past we have seen ourselves having to move from a bucket car seat, to a convertible, to a high-back booster seat with a five-point harness, to removing the five point harness, to then a booster seat without a back once the children have reached the appropriate age. Let’s be honest, this A LOT of car seats and A LOT of money! I was so excited when I learned about Safety 1st’s UltraMax™ Air 360 4-in-1 convertible car seat because not only has it been crash tested from every angle, but it can be used with a rear-facing child as small as 4 pounds all the way to a belt positioning booster for a child weighing 40 to 120 pounds and 57 inches tall.
Can we say GAME CHANGER?
Safety is really what it’s all about so here are some of the facts:
The UltraMax Air 360 is the only 4-in-1 car seat that features 360 Protect™ which provides 6 layers of proven safety. So let me break down exactly what 6 layers of protection it includes:
This carseat has been through extensive crash testing to not only surpass U.S. Regulations, but it is one of very few car seats to pass new European standards for Rollover (ECE R44 Supplement 7). Did you know Europe has higher standards? In the U.S. it has been crash tested on side impact, rear impact and rollover testing so moms, it’s definitely a car seat that we know our baby, toddler, and child will always be safe in!
Now here is how the transition will work as your child grows:
First, at the ripe weight of 4 pounds through 22 pounds you can safely place your baby in this carseat in the rear-facing position. It as has a 3-position recline option to make it a great fit in your car.
If your toddler requires extended rear-facing placement then this seat will accommodate them from 15 to 50 pounds.
Once your child is able to turn around to forward-facing, this seat will accommodate them from 22-65 pounds. It offers a QuickFit™ system for easy 10 position adjustment of both harness and headrest with one hand in one step as your child grows.
And finally, your child can utilize this seat as a belt-positioning booster (using your car’s seatbelt) from 40 to 120 pounds and 57″ in height.
Now I know you are probably thinking that this car seat will not uphold the mess of a child for so many years, but Safety 1st has you covered by not only providing a ClickClean™ machine washable and dryer safe seat pad that lifts away easily from the seat frame, but also supplying 2 removable and dishwasher-safe cup holders.
Is that a mom win or is that a mom win??
This car seat is exclusive to Babies”R”Us and retails for only $259.99
In my opinion this a great car seat to add to your baby registry as it will be useful in the early stages and long after. Between the added safety and the price, you really can’t beat all that is has to offer!
And now we are so excited to be giving away an UltraMax™ Air 360 4-in-1 convertible car seat to ONE lucky mommy reader!!
