Here at The Mommy Spot Tampa, we love to support local mom entrepreneurs so every week we will be featuring a new one. Juggling motherhood and your own business is always a challenge so we want to hear how all of the other mommies handle it. We are very excited to announce Ericca Levy as this week’s Featured Mompreneur, take the stage Ericca…

Owner, Body Love Beauty Studio

How many children do you have and what are their ages?

1 boy, 8 months

Are you a native to Tampa? If not, tell us why and when you relocated here.

I moved to Tampa in 2005. I fell in love with this city after visiting some friends who lived here. Tampa is beautiful, and filled with so many successful and driven young professionals. I am happy to call this city my home.

Tell us about your company and how you became a mompreneur.

I opened my studio 4 years ago, located in the heart of South Tampa. We offer many different services such as skin care, peels, brow mapping, make up application, and specializing in eyelash extensions, full body waxing, spray tanning and Brazilians!

What is the best part about being a mompreneur?

Being a mommy and a business owner is challenging, but comes with great reward. My days are filled with keeping clients happy and making my baby smile! I absolutely love what I do, and what I offer my clients. At the end of the day, after doing what I love, I get to come home to my amazing family!

What is the hardest part about being a mompreneur?

Being a mompreneur is challenging, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I think the hardest part is the unpredictability, everyday is different and gives me new opportunities to learn and grow.

How do you balance motherhood and running your own business?

Being a mommy and running a business is all about balance, and patience! Everyday is something new, and its what makes me a better person. As a wife, a mom and a business owner.

Any tips or advice you would like to offer other mompreneurs (or aspiring mompreneurs)?

It’s a wonderful journey when you love what you do, be patient, have an open mind. Stay connected, and share experiences with other mommies. Plan for the unexpected, set time for yourself and, stay healthy!!

The Mommy Spot is a website that encompasses all that is motherhood. From a woman expecting, to the beautiful, busy, laundry filled life that consumes us all after children. In mom language, this site is a strategically organized diaper bag on an otherwise chaotic day; A spotless nook of solace surrounded by complete disarray. The intent was to eliminate mindless hours of internet searching by creating a sole location for “everything”.

I started a business, actually incorporated the day I found out I was pregnant with my first child. We weren’t called mom entrepreneurs back then…just crazy 🙂 Maybe we still are but as Ericca said, I doubt any of us would ever want it any other way.
